| Yes | 2-3 | Any | 10 |
| Yes | 3-4 | Any | 15 |
| Yes | 4-5 | Any | 20 |
We base new providers' quotas on the number of tests they have passed (and public). The oDesk Readiness Test does not count towards the number of tests. Once you've earned feedback, only your overall feedback score is used for calculating your quota.
Warning
Your ability to apply to jobs is greatly restricted (quota = 2) until you pass the oDesk Readiness Test. We keep track of your quota for you and display it when you apply to jobs and at the top of My Jobs > Candidacies.
- Active, provider-initiated application that are 7 days old (or less) count against your quota.
- Applications that are inactive, buyer-initiated or more than 7 days old do not count against your quota.
Example
Your quota is 5. You apply to 5 jobs on Thursday. They all remain active. You can't apply to any more jobs until the next Thursday. Example
Your quota is 10. You apply to 5 jobs on Monday and 5 jobs on Wednesday. They all remain active. You can apply to 5 more jobs next Monday and 5 more jobs next Wednesday. Example
Your quota is 5. You apply to 5 jobs on Tuesday. You are rejected from 3 of them on Wednesday, so you apply to 3 new jobs Wednesday. You could apply to 2 more jobs next Tuesday and 3 more jobs next Wednesday.Note:
Only apply to the jobs you are truly qualified for and take the time to write excellent and unique cover letters for all of them. You will be more successful if you focus on the quality, not the quantity of your applications. Once you become oDesk Ready, your quota is earned based on the number of tests you've taken (for new providers) or your feedback score (once you have one).
- If you do not yet have a feedback score, take more tests to increase your quota.
- If you have a feedback score, the only way to increase your quota is to increase your score.
Note:
You must pass the oDesk Readiness Test to raise your quota above the default 2. The maximum quota is 20; you cannot purchase a larger quota.Note: All writing's are registered of oDesk
